In Language Arts, one of our students said he wanted to study about medieval times. So, being the fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-kinda-guy, I said, "Sure!"
I recalled seeing a Trebuchet (a gravity operated catapult) in a field here in town, so I went and took a picture of it to show the class. Not sure why this person has a Trebuchet, perhaps for Renaissance Festivals or something. Interesting to note, it seems to fire sports equipment, check out the basketballs and soccer balls...
We are using some software from EDMARK called Imagination Express Destination: CASTLE.
It's very cool software that allows the students to design, illustrate, animate, narrate and save their e-books for playback on the computer, and it allows them to print their books, too!
