We finished reading Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. It's a story of a boy who gets flattened by a bulletin board and stays flat. One part of the story has Stanley wanting to visit relatives but unable to afford the plane ticket. His parents decide to place Flat Stanley in an envelope and mail him!
As part of the Flat Stanley project, our class made their own Flat Stanley's and we are mailing them off to different parts of the country and world. Those who receive Stanley are asked to take him or her, we had some of our students make a Flat Stanleyette, to places in their area of interest and take pictures of Stanley and send them and a brief note about where they are back to us.
We are even going to send Stanley via email to some folks and see how the trips compare!
Check back with us as we will post Stanley, or Stanleyette's, trip story!
